Raising Standards is a ministry of women serving women guided by the scriptural teaching in Titus 2: 3-4. to teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children.
Many young women today are not aware of the standard that God has set for women. Many lack the wherewithal to take care of a home and provide familial stability. Presently, Raising Standards is offering young women – from women that have overcome adversity, access to community resources, a biblical foundation and the encouragement to make their good better and their better best
Raising Standards is a dream that will one day be a place. A home where young women will have the support and guidance that is necessary to cultivate ambition and confidence. This home will be in the Northeast sector of Rochester, NY. The services will be available by referral only to women aged 22 and older who are re-entering society, either from prison or drug rehabilitation.
The women will represent the most successful in their population with the least support in society. The goal is to prevent recidivism and relapse while fostering self-love, self-confidence and respect for self and the community.

Persephone Modeste is the mother of two sons and one daughter. She holds a Bachelors in Science Degree from the University at Brockport. Sister Modeste has 25 years of experience in serving the Rochester, NY Community. She believes, as the Word states in Titus 2:3-4 "that they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children". However, for women to be virtuous they must first know how to love themselves and to know there is a standard of living and treatment designed by God to ensure they receive the best that God has for them.

Raising Standards is a ministry that offers support through group interaction, topic discussions, and access to community resources by referral and help in developing a life plan. Raising Standards meetings are held the first Saturday of the month from 11am-1pm.
